The IPQ5018 chip supports multiple frequency bands, and the specific number depends on the actual product design and configuration. Generally speaking, it can support two commonly used Wi-Fi frequency bands of 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

The 2.4GHz frequency band is a traditional Wi-Fi frequency band, which has better penetration capability and longer coverage, but may be affected by interference in a high-density environment.

The 5GHz frequency band is a key frequency band for Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6. It provides higher data transmission rates and greater network capacity, and is suitable for application scenarios that require higher performance. At the same time, the 5GHz frequency band has more interference-free channels than the 2.4GHz frequency band, so it is more stable in a high-density environment.

QCN6122 and QCN6102 are wireless communication modules launched by Qualcomm (Qualcomm). They are chipsets that integrate a modem (Modem) and radio frequency (RF) front-end functions to provide wireless connectivity.

Wallys has designed two different M.2 moudles.

DR6122 supports 6G frequency band, and DR6102 supports 5G frequency band.

QCN6122 and QCN6102 modules are different in function and features:

QCN6122 module:

Function: The QCN6122 module is a universal multi-mode and multi-band wireless communication module that supports multiple wireless communication technologies such as LTE, WCDMA and GSM.

LTE Connectivity: Supports LTE Cat 6 connectivity, providing downlink speeds up to 300 Mbps and uplink speeds up to 50 Mbps.

5G support: The QCN6122 module also supports 5G networks, but the specific 5G technology and frequency band support will depend on the actual product design.

RF front-end: This module integrates RF front-end functions, including antenna switches, power amplifiers, etc., to provide optimized wireless performance and signal coverage.

Other features: The QCN6122 module also has features such as low power consumption design and global positioning system (GPS) support to meet various application requirements.

QCN6102 module:

Function: QCN6102 module is a universal LTE Cat 4 wireless communication module that supports multiple wireless communication technologies such as LTE, WCDMA and GSM.

LTE Connectivity: Supports LTE Cat 4 connectivity, providing downlink speeds up to 150 Mbps and uplink speeds up to 50 Mbps.

RF front-end: The QCN6102 module also integrates RF front-end functions to provide good wireless performance and signal quality.

Other features: The QCN6102 module also has features such as low power consumption design and global positioning system (GPS) support.
